Silly Axolotls

Axolotls

Nutrition
Insecticide free earth worms are the best meal nutritionally. Other options are axolotl pellets, frozen axolotl food, bloodworms, raw red meats, ox heart, and some feeder fish.

Habitat
A single axolotl needs a cold water tank of 70cms or more in length, 30cms wide. They must have either sand or a bare bottomed tank, NO GRAVEL OR STONES. They need caves or hiding places to escape the light, as they have sensitive eyes.

Well-Being
A clean, spacious tank with either sand or a bare floor, with plenty of food and dark hiding places makes for a happy axolotl!
